4. What is the story about?

The story is about Bonnie Lumsden-Keys and her friends having a normal day out near the river around her area, and making the most out of the very hot weather. Eating raspberries and cream, under a tree. She didn’t know that disaster was about to happen until one of her friends pointed to the sky. She looks up to see dark thick smoke, she breathes in dust. Ash is everywhere in her hair, and it smears her face. Its chaos, Bonnie Lumsden-Keys and her family always listen to the radio for more warnings. Her father got insurance just in case, while she packed and unpacked 3 times. Gathering photos and irreplaceable items. Her mother filled water bottles just in case. They have no place to seek refuge, even though she really wants to move out. However, her mother calls a friend and her friend asked if they wanted to share a fire plan with them and live in mister field with three other families. It is a surreal experience but they are safe. They go back and forth going to and fro from Warburton. They weren’t much organised however next time they will be more prepared.
